64 Tips to Relieve Sexual & Pelvic Pain booklet

This 24 page booklet will open your eyes to what may be triggering or contributing to your pelvic pain and give you specific guidance on simple ways to reduce your discomfort. Author Susan Bilheimer brings a patient’s point of view and Dr. Robert J. Echenberg brings the expertise of a pelvic pain specialist to garner these tips from years of working with women. Tips cover a broad range of topics including sex, personal care, clothing, topical remedies, diet, and more.

Here’s a sample tip from the booklet to eliminate a common trigger:

Tip #15: Use Unscented laundry and personal care products

Perfumed menstrual pads, laundry detergent, fabric softener, even scented dryer sheets can inflame the genital area and cause itching or burning. Most products have an unscented version. For instance, Dreft™ detergent is made for babies and those with ultra sensitive skin. You can also find unscented Purex® laundry detergent, Downy™ fabric softener, dryer sheets, etc. Even store brands often have an unscented version of these products.

Author Susan Bilheimer brings a patient’s point of view, Dr. Robert J. Echenberg brought the expertise of a pelvic pain specialist to garner many more tips from years of working with women and also provided a lot of good information about medical approaches that might help. Tips are covered for a broad range of topics, including, Sex, Personal Care, Clothing, Topical Remedies, Diet, and more…

TESTIMONIALS

Great job! You have hit on so many important points. This will be a valuable tool especially for women just starting to learn about their pelvic pain conditions. I like that you mention certain treatments and also mention that some may need to be cautious of ingredients and try a more natural or compounded treatment.

Please don’t be offended by my surprise that you have put together such a great piece. I’m sure you know how hard it is to find doctors that know about Pelvic Pain and how to properly treat it. The information we need can be hard to come by, but it’s getting better and better as time goes on and more of us take it upon ourselves to help others … as you have.

– Tiffany, CA

A concise and valuable resource to a problem that is too hard to discuss with our friends and family.

– Diane, CA

You have done an amazing job, you really have. It is wonderful, complete and SO on target. One of the reasons your booklet is so good is that it is written by someone who knows what it is like to live with this/these diseases … unless someone has walked in our shoes, they just can’t understand, and it’s obvious that you do.

d

Women who experience pelvic and sexual pain often can’t bear the pressure of underwear. And thongs are out of the question!

But what do you do when you don’t want pantylines to show or you just need the protection underwear offers without the constriction or wedgies?

The ideal solution is Commandos, a revolutionary, uniquely-shaped, COTTON disposable patch that safely sticks in the curved seam of your jeans & pants so you can go underwear free in cotton comfort protection.

COMMANDOS is the perfect alternative for women with such issues as vulvodynia, interstitial cystitis, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, endometriosis, myofacial pain syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, yeast infections, vulvar vestibulits, vaginal irritation, pudental neuralgia, and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Patches are easy to use; you just stick them to the inside of your pants, and then throw them away at the end of the day. This is a company that also cares about the community. The envelopes in which they are packaged is made from 100% recycled paper.

We asked Commandos for some samples before we agreed to endorse their product. Dr. Echenberg couldn’t keep them in the office! And women have been raving about them ever since!

Order from the GoCommandos shop and use promo code MAN-SBSS to get a 15% discount.

Pillows & Cushions

Perineal and coccyx wedge pillows can provide tremendous relief for women with pelvic pain. I’ve used the cushions off my sofa when I’ve sat on the hard kitchen table. But there are cushions specially made with cutouts for more comfort.

Dr. Echenberg recommends the Astar memory foam coccyx cushion and his patients have been very happy with this selection. We will be adding additional links to cushions shortly.
